Happy New Year, Folks!  8)

Don't you just love the start of a year?  It's like the slate is wiped clean and everything that we intended to do every other year but never got around to doing, or started to do but didn't finish doing, we suddenly decide that we can do this year. Really we can!

Well, this year I'm trying to branch out a bit as far as my online art biz is concerned.  I will still (and probably always - because they do amazing work!) retain this website where you can order high-quality prints on canvas or a selection of fine art papers and mat and frame the images a zillion different ways.  But I'm also using a different site that is more focused on products that contain art rather than art itself.

The first products that I would like to introduce you to on the new site (and if you want to buy one then they're 50% off through 12/31 with code CALENDARSALE) are (you guessed it!) 2012 calendars!  I created two different ones to appeal to those of you who like summer or fall photographs.  This year I intend to take winter shots as well as spring so that in 2013 I can offer an art calendar for each season!

I was hoping that folks could simply choose one of my images and pop it onto products that they wanted to purchase but that's not the way that this works; I have to create each product with an image (so a hoodie with a specific photo on it) and I don't have the time to do that for all of my images and every product.  So, if you'd like to see one or more of my images on one or more of Zazzle's products please email me your request and I'll send you the link to your specific product (no obligation, of course!).  Also email me any feedback that you have about the new site -- I'm truly interested to know what you think!  8)  The main site is RitchVision on Zazzle (for 20.12% off all products there through 1/4 use code 2012NEWYEARS).

This month's featured image, Ride the Rainbow, was taken at Fantasy Island Amusement Park on Long Beach Island.  It won awards in two juried shows in 2011 and was accepted to the 33rd Annual Juried Art Exhibition at the Monmouth Museum!  I've tried to get into this show for the last four years so I must admit that I'm thrilled to finally have one of my photographs accepted.  I hope that you'll join me for the opening reception - details follow.
