Asbury Park, NJ, perhaps best known for musical venue "The Stone Pony," where Bruce Springsteen and many other famous rockers have performed, is a small shore city that used to be a hub of tourist activity in its hayday. Urban decline has taken its toll on Asbury, although it is now experiencing significant urban renewal. This photograph, shot with a Pentax K1000 using black and white film, was taken looking through a knot hole in a wooden baracade for this construction site. This is a room in an old casino (see photograph "Purposeful Movement" for a view of the casino) that sits on the boardwalk in between Ocean Grove and Asbury.
