Guatemala is a very beautiful, mostly mountainous country with a number of large stratovolcanoes that exhibit a steep cone shape (Mt Fuji-style); in short it is a landscape photographer's dream. In my time working for As Green As It Gets, a nonprofit based just outside of Antigua, I have gotten to know the surrounding mountains and volcanoes very well. Here are some of my favorites of the photographs I have gotten over the years. By and large they are of our three local volcanoes; Acatenango (13,044 ft), Fuego (12,346 ft and growing) and Agua (12,336 ft). My apologies for the watermarks; in a country where 97% of homicides remain unsolved, I don't see why anyone would have respect for copyright laws.
