Current Gallery: entrancewaysofalamos ( piece)
Alamos is a centuries-old town from the time of Spanish rule in Mexico. Situated in Sonora state to the west of the Sierra Madre mountains, the town was at one time the capital of northern Mexico, and the center of a silver-mining extravaganza. This colloection of photos featurs some of the many architecturally interesting entranceways of Alamos. I have developed these photos of doorways, gates, and windows with a colorful watercolor effect.
